Located within the premises of Caldera Beach Resort in Gerani, Chania, this waterpark forms an integral part of the hotel’s recent expansion and environmental renewal license. The project’s approval involved a particularly complex licensing procedure, coordinated with the environmental permit of the existing 4-star accommodation unit.

The installation, designed for both hotel guests and external visitors, occupies a U-shaped plot that embraces the southern wings of the resort. The park includes three main water slide towers, various interactive play structures, a children’s splash zone, and an adult pool area, along with shaded lounges, changing facilities, and service buildings. The towers host multiple slide types — Body slides, Tube slides, and Crazy Cone slides — designed and certified according to European standards (EN 1069-1/2:2021).
Architecturally, the design integrates the colorful, dynamic forms of the slides with the hotel’s Mediterranean character. The surrounding walls combine reinforced concrete with aluminum panel fencing, ensuring both safety and visual coherence. The layout allows clear circulation, visibility, and sunlight throughout the park while maintaining privacy from adjacent hotel zones.
Beyond its recreational role, the project showcases the firm’s expertise in complex architectural coordination, environmental compliance, and the seamless incorporation of high-activity installations into hospitality environments — achieving a vibrant and safe leisure destination that enhances the overall guest experience of Caldera Beach Resort.
