The project concerns the design of a new four-storey residential building with a basement, pilotis, attic spaces, and a swimming pool, situated within the urban plan of Chania. The composition responds to the site’s natural slope and urban context, creating a structure that is both functional and sculptural.

The building is positioned freely within the plot to maximize natural lighting and ventilation, ensuring that all apartments are cross-ventilated. The surrounding landscape is carefully designed to increase green areas and provide 23 parking spaces, addressing a key urban challenge in Chania. Architecturally, the building adopts a monolithic aesthetic with soft sculptural gestures. Curved balconies and projections define the façades, softening the volume and giving it a dynamic yet balanced form. A unified beige tone envelops the structure, complemented by vertical dark-gray metal railings and aluminum frames, emphasizing a restrained and contemporary character. Secondary façades and openings are treated with light screening elements in wood or PVC panels, maintaining privacy and uniformity.
Material choices extend to the outdoor spaces, where perforated paving allows for permeability and green continuity. Stone cladding marks the main entrance and pool area, grounding the building in its Mediterranean setting. The overall design reflects a modern urban residence that combines clarity of form, efficiency, and a refined material palette to create a timeless architectural statement in the heart of Chania.
