Nestled within the tranquil landscape of Xirosterni in Apokoronas, this project comprises four independent stone-built residences with attics and private pools. Set among olive trees on gently sloping terrain, the composition draws inspiration from the rural character of the area, reinterpreting the archetype of the Cretan house through a contemporary lens.
Each dwelling follows a clear and compact geometry, echoing the simplicity of traditional village façades. The design emphasizes proportion, rhythm, and the balance between solidity and openness. Interior spaces are organized on a single level, extending naturally toward shaded verandas and private courtyards. The attic level offers additional private rooms, while each residence enjoys its own outdoor area with a swimming pool and seating terrace.
The architecture is defined by the tactile presence of natural stone, expressed across the exterior surfaces and boundary walls. Subtle variations in texture and tone highlight the craftsmanship of the masonry and root the buildings in the local terrain. The simple volumes, soft earthy colors, and light pergolas create a discreet architectural language that blends harmoniously into a landscape rich with olive trees.
