Located within the settlement of Agia Marina in Chania, Villa in Kampos is a contemporary residence designed for seasonal living, combining comfort, clarity of form, and refined materiality. The building unfolds across three levels — basement, ground floor, and two upper levels — with a functional program that accommodates up to twelve guests.
The composition follows clean geometric lines and balanced proportions, highlighting horizontal continuity and a sense of openness toward the outdoor area. The interplay of white volumes and dark stone surfaces defines the architectural language, while large openings and shaded verandas create a seamless dialogue between interior and exterior.
At the ground level, living and dining areas open directly onto a generous terrace with a private pool and lounge zone, extending the interior into the landscape. The upper levels host private suites with balconies, ensuring privacy and unobstructed views. The material palette — white render, textured stone cladding, and soft grey aluminum — emphasizes contrast and rhythm, enhancing the play of light throughout the day.
Functional details such as perforated metal pergolas and vertical elements enrich the façade, providing depth and shadow. Designed to combine simplicity with elegance, Villa in Kampos reflects a modern Cretan architectural identity rooted in light, proportion, and outdoor living.
